The sharing modality of information and experience has significantly changed over the last century, and more dramatically over the last decade. From traditional books and journals, nowadays we rely more and more on digital content for its readiness, and to quote Albert Einstein:
“One picture is worth a thousand words.” Albert Einstein, Nobel Laurate (1879-1955)
The SARS-CoV-2 causing COVID-19 has reached pandemic levels since March 2020. In this unprecedented scenario, scientific content exchange has further evolved through the use of frictionless video, voice chat and content sharing. Thus, enabling face-to-face video experiences for thousands of people in a single meeting, across disparate devices and locations.
Arrhythmia Academy follows the transformation of content sharing, with the ambition to be a new online content hub that aims to provide high quality, peer-to-peer scientific content for clinicians interested in cardiac arrhythmias and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. This web-based platform will report on news in the field, host videos and debates with worldwide experts on clinically relevant hot topics and will be a forum for case-studies, short communications, challenging ECG traces, and an interactive platform for key opinion leaders.
As a scientist first, then, as Editor-in-Chief, I am very excited to launch the Arrhythmia Academy web-based platform that completes, and significantly expands upon the current editorial offering, with open-access and visual digital content. I am also very grateful to a large number of scientists and key opinion leaders in the field of cardiac arrhythmias, who have accepted to be part of the editorial board and are committed to provide tremendous support to this initiative. You will find their details in the dedicated Editorial Board section.
I am very grateful to the Radcliffe Group for designing and providing a unique platform, and to the entire editorial staff for their restless support.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy Arrhythmia Academy, the new way to provide scientific content and to exchange ideas, news and novelties in our field by contributing with your video, your chats, and your comments.
I am looking forward to meeting you on our webpage.
