Overview
This video series covers the latest data on transvenous and subcutaneous ICD devices, focusing on shared decision-making and their practical applications in preventing sudden cardiac death. Moderated by Dr Blandine Mondésert (Montreal Heart Institute and University of Montreal, CA) and Dr Ulrika Birgersdotter-Green (University of California San Diego, US), this webinar delves into the long-term benefits and innovations in Subcutaneous Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (S-ICD) therapy.
Viewers will gain insights into S-ICD and leadless pacing, alongside an analysis of Anti-Tachycardia Pacing (ATP) studies, including APPRAISE-ATP and MODULAR-ATP, to enhance treatment strategies and optimise patient outcomes in cardiovascular care.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the latest data on transvenous and entirely subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD) devices including the practical implications this data has on shared decision making
- Evaluate long-term efficacy and applications of S-ICD and leadless pacing in sudden cardiac death prevention
- Understand the long-term use and outcomes of S-ICD therapy
- Assess the integration of leadless pacing and S-ICD therapy in the context of preventing sudden cardiac death
- Analyse clinical insights and data from anti-tachycardia pacing (ATP) studies for improved treatment strategies
- Explore the clinical insights and benefits of ATP as detailed in the APPRAISE-ATP study
- Examine the data from the MODULAR-ATP study to enhance understanding of ATP's role in sudden death prevention and its integration with other therapies
