Kevin Vernooy

Chair of division of Clinical Electrophysiology and cardiac pacing within the department of cardiology at the Heart+Vascular Center/Maastricht UMC+. He is trained in Maastricht, obtained his PhD in 2006, and has been a clinical electrophysiologist since 2011. Since 2018 he is also heading clinical research on cardiac arrhythmia’s within the department of Cardiology at the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen.

He possesses the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management” (DAS-CAM). This initiative is a collaboration between MUMC+, European Heart Academy and the European Heart Rhythm Association. His field of expertise is the treatment of arrhythmias in patients with heart failure, with special interest in cardiac resynchronisation therapy and ablation of ventricular arrhythmias.
